BRUNEL’S Dr Misia Gervis was a speaker at the Football Association’s St. George’s Park in August for the 2014 FA licensed Tutor’s Club Conference.

The Conference aimed to develop tutors’ understanding of how to improve the effectiveness of their training.

Tutors could choose from various workshops and Dr Gervis and Pete Sturgess, the FA Technical Lead 5-11, focused on the Enhanced Learning Environment.

Dr Gervis’ work at Brunel focuses on developing the university’s undergraduate and postgraduate courses in coaching sport psychology.

During the session she explored the principles of positive psychology and its role in building learner’s strengths to unlock their potential and help develop other important skills.

Don’t forget Freshers (and returners) that Brunel lies extremely close to Wembley Stadium, so if you can afford the tickets you can see the England National side whenever they play at home!
